We are constantly evolving, growing, and innovating – all with a sense of warmth and loyalty. We never lose sight of what’s ahead and what’s possible.
What began with two brothers and a vision has evolved into aGlobal Company, dedicated to providing a sense of home to many of the top Fortune 500 companies.
History
In 1998, brothers and real estate developers Gary and Steven Brown rented two of their classic brownstone apartments in New York City to business travelers. They have since grown this concept into a company that now serves thousands around the world.
Gary and Steven exceeded their own expectations, and today, Furnished Quarters has flourished into a company that offers stylish apartments around the world. The brothers have maintained their commitment to excellence with warm, personal service, making them an ideal choice for individual travelers and top executives.

We have implemented a variety of green initiatives, such as partnering with LEED-certified and other eco-friendly buildings, improving how we source materials and work with suppliers, and minimizing waste, including the use of single-use plastics—all in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.
Our Founders
Steven Brown
Chief Executive OfficerIn his capacity as Chief Executive Officer, Steve oversees all inventory curation, global operations, revenue management, and growth strategies. Before founding Furnished Quarters, Steve worked for Macy’s for nine years as the Vice President of Merchandising and for Douglas Elliman, where he mastered the ins and outs of the real estate industry. Steve is an active real estate investor and developer and seamlessly leverages his experience to deliver highly sought-after properties in prime markets.
Gary Brown
PresidentAs President, Gary manages the sales and financial efforts to ensure the company achieves continued growth. Before founding Furnished Quarters, Gary worked as a certified public accountant and attorney in New York and Connecticut. Along with his brother Steve, Gary has also spent most of his career developing and investing in Manhattan real estate and continually identifies key trends and opportunities within the alternative accommodations space.
