Top 4 Dinner Spots in Brooklyn Heights

From the nightlife to the art scene, the boutique shops and more—Brooklyn is booming.  Whether you live here or are enjoying a day trip to “BK”, discover our top four best dinner spots in Brooklyn Heights:

Jack the Horse Tavern

This popular neighborhood restaurant always impresses. Settle into the warm ambience with friends or family, and then go for one of their indulgent starters. Options include the Grilled Octopus with chorizo, white beans, grilled kale and grape tomatoes or the Macaroni and Cheese, featuring smoked gouda and fontina cheese with cavatappi pasta. For your main course, try a favorite such as the Grilled Berkshire Pork Rib Chop or the Pan Seared Diver Scallops.

66 Hicks Street

Noodle Pudding

This spot is the place to go if you’re craving delicious, family-size Italian food. Begin with their ‘For the Table” menu, choosing from Salami with cheese, olives and tanalucci to Bruschetta Al Ischitana and more. Then, consider a first course item such as the Carpaccio or Fried Calamari. Save room, because next you’ll want a savory pasta or the risotto of the day—all very tasty and praised among patrons.  Noodle Pudding is definitely worth a visit, but bring plenty of cash as credit cards are not accepted.

38 Henry Street

Sociale

Right down the street from Noddle Pudding is Sociale, well regarded for its environment and decadent food. The entrees are truly great—from the Red Snapper to the Halibut con Spinaci, but let’s talk about the dessert. Try the Peach Tarte featuring basil custard cream, basil jelly, poached peach, peach sorbet and peach puree or the Tortino Al Cioccolato, which is chocolate cake with salted caramel gelato, chocolate crumbs and chocolate tuile.

72 Henry Street

Dellaracco’s of Brooklyn

We couldn’t list our favorite Brooklyn Heights dinner spots without mentioning a pizza place, right? Sink your teeth into mouthwatering pizza at Dellaracco’s, categorized by white pizzas and red pizzas on their menu. White pizza offerings include Tartufo with truffle cream, gorgonzola and mozzarella cheese and the Rustichella—sausage, mixed pepper, olives, mozzarella, basil and spicy oil. Craving a red sauce? Go for the Margherita (always a classic) or the Vegetable pizza containing tomato, mozzarella, mushrooms, artichokes, prosciutto, olives, basil and E.V.O.
