Four Great Places for Smoothies in Manhattan

With the warm weather, you may be on the lookout for a cool, refreshing treat. Here are four Manhattan spots that deliver with their delicious (and mostly healthy) smoothies:

1. Hawa Smoothies & Bubble Tea

The Lower East Side offers a variety of fantastic food options from mouthwatering dumplings to classic New York style pizza, but if you’re looking for the best smoothie, Hawa Smoothies & Bubble Tea is the place to go. Sip on the Strawberry Kiwi or Mango Passionfruit smoothie to kick off your day. In a milkshake mood? Try the Papaya shake. Check out Hawa Smoothies at 181 East Broadway between Canal and Pike Streets.

2. Blossom Du Jour

In addition to being a well known health-focused eatery, Blossom Du Jour also serves several standout smoothies. After your Karmic Kale Wrap or Blossom Bean Burger, treat yourself to a Blue Velvet or Thrive smoothie. Just as exciting as they sound, the Blue Velvet includes acai, blueberries, strawberries, banana, vanilla and soy milk and Thrive contains kale, banana, almond butter, pea protein and soy milk. Blossom Du Jour has locations in Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen, Union Square, Columbus Circle and the Upper West Side between 81st and 82nd streets.

3. Juice Press

Most known for their impressive selection of cold pressed juices, Juice Press features tasty smoothies too. Consider Peaching to the Choir that includes a peach, raw almond butter, banana, hemp milk, agave, almonds and mint. Another favorite is Almond Buttercup that contains almond milk, raw almond butter, cacao, agave, banana and cinnamon. Juice Press has various locations in Manhattan.

4. Liquiteria

Liquiteria is popular for its diverse selection of great tasting smoothies. Coffee and Cacao includes fair-trade coffee, raw cacao, almond butter, bananas, chocolate almond milk, chocolate whey protein & raw coconut sugar. Want to spare the sugar? Just ask. The “Green” Monster is perfect post-workout with blueberries, strawberries, bananas, apple cider, super green food & vegan protein. Need something a little more substantial? Try the Acai Parfait or one of their Steel Cut Oatmeal bowls. There are six Liquiteria locations in Manhattan.
