Summer Visitors Flock in Droves to Massachusetts

The numbers are in at Furnished Quarters, and it’s official: we achieved blockbuster status throughout Massachusetts in both June and July this year.
What does that mean? Precisely this: that our properties in Boston, Cambridge, and Brookline hovered near full occupancy throughout most of the summer to date, and were fully booked for several days in July.
What’s all the fuss about in Massachusetts? Quite a lot. The Boston Globe reported in July that the city of Boston is sold out nearly 80 percent of the time in the short-stay hotel market. In tandem with this growth and development, temporary furnished apartment rentals are also on the rise.
The Boston Herald attributes the area’s steaming-hot rental market to a combination of factors, including an improving job market and limited residential availability. Boston has also seen an increase in the tech sector, making the city even more attractive for developers.
Furnished Quarters has been in the vanguard of this movement, leading the trend with its 100 percent occupancy rate. Even in a booming market, full occupancy is quite rare—in fact, it’s almost unheard of.
We attribute our success to our staff, who take care of our guests’ needs daily. Everyone at Furnished Quarters stops at nothing to ensure that each visitor’s experience of staying in our furnished rentals remains unparalleled in class and convenience.
There are countless events throughout the rest of the summer—and into the fall—in Boston, as well as other parts of Massachusetts. For starters, check out the City of Boston’s event page, which features upcoming highlights from concerts and theater to outdoor activities and special programs for kids.
You can also keep an eye on our Facebook page, where we frequently post upcoming events in cities around the country. In addition to Boston, Cambridge, and Brookline, Furnished Quarters also serves Lexington and Waltham in Massachusetts—as well as major metropolitan areas nationally and globally.
Don’t get shut out of the chance to visit these hot spots in Boston and beyond—make reservations early, and pack your bags.
