Boston, MA (June 17, 2009) — Furnished Quarters donated a total of 550 household items to the Big Brother Big Sister Foundation (BBBS). Furnished Quarters made a decision that even in this tough economy, it is important to keep its commitment to community outreach and decided to donate all slightly used items from its corporate apartments.
"It is truly an honor to help the local community here in Boston," commented Annette Clement, General Manager of Furnished Quarters' Boston office. "With a stylish and fresh look to our furniture and household goods, we feel confident that BBBS can sell these items with ease to continue to raise money for their organization."
Lamps, glasses, phones, toasters, television sets, and tea kettles were just some of the items donated. Furnished Quarters plans to continue to donate furniture and housewares to BBBS as they upgrade their apartments.
The Big Brother Big Sister Foundation takes the items Furnished Quarters donates and sells them to help raise money for the Big Brothers of Massachusetts Bay, Big Sister Association, and 6 other BBBS organizations.
